Use A Vision Backup to Restore a Project

This article will outline how to restore a Vision project backup via projects built on 2.7 on 

Here are some examples of when this procedure will be used:  

• Accidentally lose of work 
• Project corruption 
• Unexplained lose of work 

Instructions

Setting Backup Preferences

1. Open Vision Preferences 
2. Set the desired time increment that backups will occur and how many backups will be retained 

Restoring a project backup 

1. Close Vision 
2. Right click on a project and select show package contents 
3. Create a copy of the current store.sqlite 
   1. Place the original in a separate folder and DO NOT DELETE IT
4. Find the backup you want to restore 
   1. Backups are located in the backup folder and labeled with date and time 
5. Copy the desired store.sqlite backup to the root of the project folder 
6. Close the finder window 
7. Relaunch vision and open the project used above 
8. Confirm the project opens successfully and reverted back to the point of the restored backup 

Restoring the Original Backup 

1. Close Vision 
2. Right click on a project and select show package contents 
3. Open the folder where the original backup is located 
4. Copy the original store.sqlite backup to the root of the project folder 
5. Relaunch vision and open the project used above 
6. Confirm the project opens successfully and reverted back to the point of the restored backup
